Alliance Française de Manille is deeply honored to inaugurate its 2011 exhibitions program with “Renewal”, an exhibition of new works on familiar themes by National Artist Arturo Luz.  

“Renewal” will feature the Anito series, new sculptures in ipil wood reminiscent of Luz’s past totemic metal sculptures; a series of Asian imaginary landscapes and palaces which have been Luz’s recurrent themes in more recent years; and totally new, exciting, and never-before-exhibited print collages created by the artist using parts and pieces of his own prints dating from 1978 and integrated into new collage compositions.

The exhibit runs from January 13 until February 3, 2011.
