The Saturday Group of Artists presented its  43rd anniversary show, Art at the Shang 2011, at the Shangri-La Mall's Atrium from July 16 to 23, 2011.  The show featured recent works of senior and established artists, Malang, Cris Cruz, Fernando Sena, Ben Infante, Hermes Alegre, Ding Hidalgo and works from its core-group including Convocar, Anna De Leon, Migs Villanueva, Caña, Sheila Tiangco, Roel Obemio and Inna Vitasa.

Now on its 43rd year, the Saturday Group is strongly moving forward as one of the country’s notable art groups, with its members consistently winning art awards and presenting group and solo shows here and abroad. Featured in the show are works of award winning members of the group namely Aner Sebastian, Jaime Gubaton, Salvador Ching, Omi Reyes, Vic Bachoco and Norlie Meimban. Also featured are works of Gerrico Blanco, Xander Calceta, Myra Caymar, Nida Cranbourne, Mhara Cruz,Robert Deniega, Rose Gisbert, Francis Nacion, Anthony Palo, Keith Paras, Tessie Picaña, Jun Rocha, Jonah Salvosa, Danny Santiago, Eman Santos, Ojing Señara, Bing Siochi and Joseph Villamar.

The artists held an opening reception last July 16th. July 23rd, the following Saturday around 2 pm., an on-the-spot sketching session was held at the exhibit area; then the Premiere Art Raffle followed at 7:00 pm at the Art Plaza of the Shangri-La mall.
