SIGWADA Gallery presents RENASCENCE by SETA PILIPINAS which opens on August 30, 2011 at 6pm. RENASCENCE means rebirth or revival aptly describes the group name Seta a rebirth of its original SETA Pilipinas which means (Self Expression Through Art) Movement founded by UE Fine Arts in the mid-1980s. The exhibit features diverged much from the thematic and stylistic pattern of the earlier social realists Seta works that are apparently inspired by serenity, contentment, and fascination

Seta Pilipinas artists assert that they are still true to what their name implies, because the depiction of fascination with serenity and vigorous expression. The participating artists include  Arnel Mirasol, the Best Entry winner in the First Metrobank Painting   Competition in 1984, Mon Villanueva, the first placer in the the 1994 Metrobank Young Painters Annual, and Oca Magos, the second placer in the 2007 GSIS Painting Competition, Jerry Dean, Jojo Garcia, Isko dela Cruz, Isagani Fuentes, and Bert Falis and Dulce Falsis.
