Masters Art Trend Gallery presents New Colony

“New Colony,” the inaugural exhibit of Masters Art Trend Gallery, gathers over 200 artworks from various artists nationwide to territorialize the artistic and emotional experience, perception, memory and feelings of the artist.

“The gallery, in essence, serves as a hub, dwelling and a reflection of the artist’s identity” cited Bernardo Balagtas, General Manager of the Masters Art Trend Gallery.

As the home to young and untapped artists, the gallery is driven and challenged to allow the artist the feelings of warmth and security set in the context of working between determinacy and innovation, to work and feel at home, and give style and texture to the circumstances of an artist’s life punctuated by exciting prospects for adventure, growth, and self-fulfillment.

The gallery is a refuge to artists and this purpose is defeated if it has blinding consumerist traps.

While money may be the greatest motivator in the world, the artist’s creative freedom is paramount and an exception at Masters Art Trend Gallery, where artist’s legacy of true and innate beauty resides.

January 8, 2012 marked the exhibit opening which was located in the 4th floor of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. The event showcased 1 x 1ft artworks with themes that vary from landscapes, to abstract, from portraits, to food enthusiasts; using diverse mediums such as oil, acrylic or found objects. It caters to both young and old, newbies and pros alike. Due to the number of participating artists in one event, it served as a reunion to some and a meet-and-greet to many.

“New Colony” will be on exhibit until the first week of February 2012.
