O Ultimo Momento and Etha Dam at the CCP

O Ultimo MomentoAs the festive celebration of the French Spring continues, Alliance Française de Manille and the French Embassy take you to a scintillating exploration of a variety of artistic worlds.

On Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 8PM, O Ultimo Momento, a modern circus company performs their newest acrobatic show at the RCBC Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium.

Chinese pole acrobat and video artist, João Paulo dos Santos, and roller-skating musician, Guillaume Dutrieux will astound you with their duet of skills, producing remarkable circus artistry straight from their imagination. In their show “peut-être” (=maybe), the two artists, João and Guillaume, play on our sense of space, creating an adventure involving sights and sounds that entice and challenge our concepts of above or below, horizontal and vertical, real and virtual. Blurring our perception, this electronically recorded spectacle will redefine the phrase “Things are not what they seem.” Gravity being inverted, performers multiplying on stage; every move is a feat that shouldn’t be missed. Dangerous yet tempting, O Ultimo Momento is not your typical circus show. It will take you to experience the incomparable intoxication of height and the excitement of falling. The manifestations of space and time will be reinvented through this dazzling trip through art in action. For ticket inquiries please contact Alliance at 895-7585.
