The past two years have definitely been life-changing for SAMUEL LLOYD LACIA MILBY. He was first seen on a TV commercial for a popular toothpaste brand where he was shown flashing his smile – the smile that would later grace television, movies and billboards all over the country.

Sam Milby entered the Pinoy Big Brother house as a replacement for one of the housemates who opted to leave. Then, everyone REALLY noticed and couldn’t get enough of him. When he got evicted, offers for various projects and endorsements came his way.

He is one of the heart throbs and was part of the successful soap opera Maging Sino Ka Man. So successful that even before it ended, its Book 2 has already been confirmed. He has also starred out in three blockbuster movies under Star Cinema, namely, Close To You, You Are The One and You’ve Got Me and will soon start shooting for his next film. Sam also has a self-titled album under Star Records which has reached the platinum mark and will soon release his follow-up album. He will also be featured in Your Song and Maalaala Mo Kaya’s Father’s Day episode on June 15. Judging from the many billboards of Sam, there is no doubt that he is one of the in-demand endorsers in the local scene. This multi-talented cutie is also a figure skater, motocross rider and a hockey player.

With the various projects also came valuable recognitions. He was named 2005 Most Promising Male Singer and 2006 Prince of Philippine Movies by the Guillermo Mendoza memorial Foundation, Best New Male Artist in the 19th annual Aliw Awards for Television and one of the ten Most Well-Liked Male TV Personalities by the South East Asian Anak TV Seal.

Sam celebrated his 23rd birthday last May 23 and at this point, despite the nasty publicity that comes with fame, Sam can only be thankful. He’s rather focus on the positive and says, “Everyone is entitled to his own opinion. I know that I cannot please everyone, but why should I dwell on the negative when there is so much to be thankful for?”
