Matt Evans with Melissa Ricks is one of the hottest and most in demand young love teams today.

Aside from being beautiful young stars, the two have something else in common – they were both first known in reality shows of ABS-CBN. Matt was known as the “happy-go-lucky”, afro-haired teen housemate in Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition while Melissa became a runner-up in Star Circle Quest. The two had their first break when they were casted in Komiks Presents: Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko. Matt played the role of Pedro Penduko ands Melissa became his lading lady, Hiyas. This was followed by Pedro Penduko at ang mga Engkanto. The two are perfect on screen partners.

Their potential and chemistry as a love team was noticed and so they were given other projects such as Young Song, Love Spell Presents, Princess Sarah, became mainstay hosts in ASAP and were together in the horror film Shake, Rattle and Roll 9. Melissa also appeared in the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya and in the action-serye Rounin.

And now, the two believe that being part of “Iisa pa lamang” is their biggest break in the industry.

Melissa plays the role Sophia, youngest daughter of Dona Isadora (Cherry Pie Picache) and sister to Miguel (Diether Ocampo). Sophia will do anything for her mother and brother but is wary when it comes to love.

Matt is Toby, the younger brother of Rafael (Gabby Concepcion). The exact opposite of his brother, Toby usually gets into fights. Because he’s not the favorite son, he oftentimes becomes rebellious to seek attention. Sophia is the woman who will take away the pain and anger in his heart.

They have truly shown their unique talent in drama, especially in Melissa’s scenes with Claudine Barretto and Matt with Diether Ocampo. Everyone is waiting the conflicts of each character and even the upcoming confrontation between Sophia and Catherine.
