As one of the best mainstream pop bands of the 90s who truly made a mark in Philippine music scene, Truefaith releases a collection of their big mass hits from 1991 to 2007. EMI Phils proudly announces Truefaith’s Greatest Hits album which spans more than a decade of the band’s heartfelt serenades to all Filipinos.

Vocalist Medwin Marfil shared “We're most proud of the fact that we've lasted this long despite changes in musical trends and all the trials that we've been through. And there've been lots of trials indeed.”

This definitive album from Truefaith features tracks from their 1993 debut of PERFECT through what Medwin defines as  their  first full length album entitled STRAY TO BE FOUND which included their “comeback” massive hit (after a two-year hiatus), “Dahil Ikaw” in 2007.  

“Artistically we've made music that we love and that a lot of people appreciate. I think that's an achievement. We've had several albums that don't always follow what is trendy or cool. We just wanted to be ourselves. Professionally, the fact that we've lasted this long is already a monumental achievement! We've reaped major awards, toured around the world; we make friends out of fans and get paid in the process!” Medwin further explained.

DREAM JOURNAL will give you an idea of how far they've come musically and professionally since the days fueled by artistic differences, pressures from an already crowded band scene, disagreements with management and internal bickering. Truefaith's original line up disbanded back in 1996 and reformed in 1997 coming out with the new album called LOOKING UP.

The new album boasts songs that are listed in chronological order of release, and represent most of their popular singles. Included of course are their biggest trademark songs-- 1993’s “Perfect” and “Ambon”, 1994’s “Muntik Na Maabot ang Langit” and “Huwag Na Lang Kaya”, 1995’s “Kundi Rin Lang Ikaw,” 1998’s “Huwag Na Lang Kaya,” 1999’s “(Awit Para) Sa Kanya”, Necafe’s ad campaign song “Sumasarap ang Gising in 2001, latest 2007 Truefaith songs like “Dahil Ikaw”, “Sayang Ang Lahat”, revival of “Cross My Heart” and “Araw’t Gabi.”

As for this Greatest Hits album, Truefaith have stayed 15 years under the spotlight. Truefaith is led by Medwin Marfil on vocals with Kenneth Ilagan and Eugene Marfil on guitars; Bimbo Yance on bass; Jake Lumacad on keyboards and Benedict Esguerra on drums. In 2000, Truefaith have also released Memories Are Cheap: The Best of Truefaith 1993-2000 which also included the hit single “Kung Ok Lang Sa ‘Yo.”
