ART-is is a benefit project for out-of-art school youth and young aspiring artists who are less privileged in terms of enhancing their craft. Since it has been Color Coding Production’s advocacy, they came up with an idea to campaign for independent artists and talents atleast once in a year as their contribution in helping the less privileged aspiring artists.

After last year’s successful Band:Age Volume 1, Color Coding Production conceptualized another event that would cater not only the musicians alone but also the other artists in the industry, including the models, photographers, designers and bands, among others.

ART-is is said to be the second event-for-a-cause produced and directed by Mr. Dave Coros Jr., for he believes that it’s his corporate social responsibility as an independent artist to voice out the concerns of those that were not given equal opportunities in the industry.

What is ART-is?

If you will read the name of the event, it will sound like ARTIST. But if you would analyze how it was written, it seems like the title wants us to know what ART is. During the presentation of ART-is, it was emphasized that ART-is corresponds to: Be Aware. Be Responsible. Be The next breed of independent artists. These are the phrases that the creators want to specify. To be aware that there are young aspiring artists that are less privileged that’s why we have to be responsible in helping them enhance their skills and be the next breed of independent professional artists in the industry.

It was a challenge, though a part of the concept of the makers that those who would perform in the event should have the same advocacy and is willing to help out artists too. And after some time of searching for artists and talents, the makers came up with performers like Deninman, Third Time Charm and Independent Models who showcased their talents thru fashion show and band performance.

ART-is: Music and Art Production was launched at Bar Uno last June 4, 2009.
