Manila Ocean Park opened its newest water themed park. Acquatica combines water park fun with opportunities for up-close marine life interaction and a whole new journey to a “must-see” multi-sensory attraction.

When night falls, Maiden of the Sea, an outdoor event, brings you a mesmerising show with a live cast backed by a dramatic multi-media effects of pyrotechnics, brilliant lasers, special computer imaging, synchronized water jets, faming bursts, and a captivating music all in a breathtaking choreography.

The Story... what does it take to bring back purity in paradise? The answer is in our hearts. In this parable staged with earth, air, water and fire, an ill-stricken Lakandiwa, King of Tanimpala sends his three sons... Anggapo, Gero and Lapu-Lapu on a quest for a cure. He beseeches them saying: “Go to the sea and seek until the wise one is found, with humble courage and honor to speak, until the answers to you are bound.” They dutifully obey and risking peril, brave the very seas that their greed and avarice have angered. They are washed upon the mystical shores of Sariraya and find Apo Seladdin, the wise old one. But Anggapo and Gero refuse to listen to the sage’s advice. They ignore the negative attitudes and practices that cause the rift between their land and the waters that sustain them. Only the youngest son, Lapu-Lapu heeds his father’s words. He courageously and humbly opens his heart.  His action is small but sincere. More than a saga, the story explores love and passion as exemplifies by its heroin Dalanggat, the Maiden of the Sea, who falls in love with the Prince Lapu-Lapu. Dalnaggat holds the cure to bring back the kingdom of Tanimpala to its former glory.
