National Inventors Week 2008

Filipinos are known for their ingenuity, creativity and wit. That is why, Daigdig Pinoy focuses on featuring the best of the Philippines and the Filipinos. When it comes to food, culture, art, and natural resources, the Filipinos always make it a point to stand out and excel in everything they do.

The National Inventors’ Week held last November 17 -21, 2008’s theme was “Making Inventions Work for you.” A week long celebration that showcased Filipino’s finest, and latest inventions, to make life easier and to help make our world a better place.

From organic products, to energy saving devices, to cost efficient fuel consumptions to solar panels, from food to equipments, the lists just goes on and on. And we are fortunate enough to meet the acquaintance of some of the few geniuses of our country.

Dr. Antonio Mateo

An electrical, mechanical, industrial and plastic engineer, Dr. Mateo, has already invented more than 55 inventions up to this time and is still going. READ MORE...
